Sate Khas Senayan Soetta Terminal 3 is a renowned Indonesian restaurant nestled within the bustling confines of Bandara Soekarno Hatta's Terminal 3. Frequent visitors praise its authentic offerings, especially the Nasi Kuning and Sate Ayam, which showcase the rich flavors of Indonesian cuisine. Reviewers note that the food is generally well-prepared and appealing, making it a delightful stop for travelers. However, the experience can be a mixed bag.
While many patrons appreciate the attentive service, feedback suggests that the staff could enhance their efficiency, particularly in serving and ensuring all menu items are available. For instance, one diner noted a lack of straws with their drinks, which felt off given the establishment's otherwise good service ethos. Moreover, some dishes, like the Nasi Uduk, received mixed reviews for their unique preparations, such as the use of blue pea flower for coloring, which did not sit well with all guests.
Despite these slight hiccups, Sate Khas Senayan Soetta Terminal 3 stands out as a solid dining option within the airport. With a diverse menu catering to various dietary preferences, it offers a taste of Indonesia that’s both accessible and satisfying for travelers looking for good food before their journeys.

Reviews for Sate Khas Senayan Soetta Terminal 3
Review highlights
Based on 804 reviewsSate Khas Senayan at Soekarno-Hatta Terminal 3 is recognized for offering a solid range of classic Indonesian dishes suitable for travelers seeking convenient airport dining. The food quality is generally praised, with particular mention of popular items like nasi kuning and various satay options, though some dishes may lean slightly towards sweeter or saltier flavors. While the menu selection is somewhat limited and vegetarian options receive mixed feedback, the freshly prepared meals and reasonable pricing for an airport venue are appreciated. Service can be inconsistent, occasionally making it challenging to get staff attention. Overall, the restaurant provides a dependable and familiar Indonesian dining experience in a busy airport setting.
Honestly, I’m not quite sure how many stars to give. Most of the food was pretty good, and the service was good in some ways, but not all the time. We ordered lontong, perkedel jagung, sate ayam, cumi sambal matah, and es campur. They ran out of the cumi sambal matah, so we switched to cumi bakar Jimbaran instead. The cumi wasn’t great and could definitely taste better. The lontong and perkedel were really tasty, and the sate and sauce were nice too. The tempe medoan was okay but looked like it wasn’t fried enough — kind of half-cooked? The service was mostly good, with attentive staff, but then there was this weird thing with straws. We ordered iced tea and jamu, but no straws were given unless we paid 1,000 rupiah per straw. That felt pretty strange considering how much food we ordered. I get charging for extras sometimes, but straws with drinks should be included — it’s just good hospitality and hygiene. Airport prices are already high, so charging for straws felt off. Management should really rethink this policy. Also, the staff could use some training on when to serve the es campur. They brought it out while we were still eating, so we asked them to take it back and serve it later. But they just left it sitting at room temperature, which wasn’t great because it’s supposed to be icy cold. The taste was fine, but the red boba was really hard to chew and not enjoyable.
Love the Nasi Kuning here. Overall food is good and always crowded with travellers.
Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 A good dining option for airport. Known chain, reasonable enough price, especially for airport, and offers a good range of food for everyone. There are plenty of seatings. It's a bit hard to get the attention of the waiters, and they only have very limited number of menus when we were there. The food was nicely served, and freshly prepared. We order nasi uduk (doesn't really taste like regular nasi uduk, they are using natural blue pea flower for coloring. The taste is good, variety is good and filling. Tahu kipas is big enough and okay with beansprout. Chicken fried rice is a bit underwhelming with shredded chicken on the side. If you need proper food before your journey, this can be a very good option compared to the rest.
My excitment knew no bounds when i found a restau with some items on vegetarian me u. So I ordered a ketoprak , acar kuning , nasi goreng veggie which was slightly below standards , hv had betterment, it was rice with kecap manis no veggie at all n the acar serving (timun n wortel was barelly 2 pcs each). Next time will try other dishes as well,as a frequent traveller I like to explore the restaus offering vegetarian food.
Good range of classic Indonesian cuisine, good quality and taste, just a bit on the salty and sweet side for some dishes
The best sate kambing I have ever had! Very good flavour.
